MICHAEL PURCELL, PMHNP-BC

Michael Purcell is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He is qualified to perform psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and medication management services for all ages of individuals with a special focus on children, adolescents, and young adults for the treatment of anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, behavioral disorders, schizophrenia, OCD, PTSD, and autism spectrum disorders. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and has been working as a psychiatric nurse for the duration of his nursing career.
Previously, Michael worked as a Registered Nurse in an acute psychiatric hospital, a community-based program through a local non-profit, and an outpatient clinic. These positions allowed Michael to work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, which allowed him to develop insight into the importance of the collaborative healthcare approach, individualized treatment planning, and utilizing all available resources.
Michael is a firm believer in evidence-based care and the importance of continued collaboration with psychotherapists and all other members of the healthcare team. Through cooperatively identified and individualized treatment goals and a holistic view of mental health, Michael works to promote positive, adaptive mental health in all the individuals he works with.
