DORA MONICA ADAM, LCSW

Dora Monica Adam, LCSW specializes in providing therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults across a broad range of behavioral and emotional health concerns. Fluent in English, Italian, and Romanian, she is uniquely equipped to offer culturally sensitive, accessible care to a diverse clientele. With a background working in school settings, she has a deep understanding of the challenges children and families face, including navigating gifted programs and supporting children on the autism spectrum, and is committed to providing meaningful support every step of the way.
Dora Monica draws on a range of evidence-based approaches to meet each client where they are. Her trainings in Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) allows her to offer personalized, trauma-informed care tailored to the unique needs and goals of each individual. She is experienced in working with a variety of behavioral concerns and is passionate about helping clients build the skills and confidence needed to move forward.
In addition to her school-based experience, Dora Monica has provided outpatient therapy services with the same compassionate, individualized approach to clients across the lifespan. She also has experience supporting individuals through grief and loss, offering both individual therapy and family support to help clients navigate one of life’s most difficult journeys and find a path toward healing.
Dora Monica holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from University of Bucharest, Romania and a Master’s in Social Science from The Pontifical University of St Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) in Rome, Italy, providing her with a strong academic foundation to complement her diverse clinical experience.
